Brief: The II Programme’ Ellipse Foundations is one of the three ‘Core enablers’ workstreams that will work together to provide the required services for the business workstreams to realise the above vision, putting in place the essential building blocks upon which future capability will rely.

This Work Package will deliver a Systems Change Governance Tool to digitise governance that will centralise all changes in the systems.

The Change Governance Implementation Work Package is a part of the Ellipse Foundations project. This work package aims to implement a new change governance structure and processes to effectively support and manage changes to the systems. This will ensure that any change in the functionality, operability and integration of these systems is assessed, consulted and approved to align with the business needs, and the risk of failure to business continuity caused by systems change is managed.

Learning Outcomes: By the end of the training the delegates will be able to successfully: • Familiarise themselves with the log in process • Navigate through the Change Request page and request a Change Request • Navigate through the dashboard and understand how to view active Change Requests • Recognise how the sorting, filtering and export options will enable them to access the most relevant data.

Process: After discussing the scope of the project, the next thing was to meet the SMEs.  For this project there was only one SME, which did pose a slight risk so I highlighted this to ensure that we had additional people to check the progress of the project.

I described the process to the SME so that he understood what was expected from me as a Learning Designer but also what was to be expected from him as the SME.  We then were able to book in some time to work through the Task Scalar so that we knew exactly what each employee would need to learn.

Once the Task scalar had been finalised, I was then able to create a Learning Design, which provided examples for how this training could be delivered.

Once the client decided on the best option then I was also asked to develop the learning solution.

Solution: The final result was a series of how to videos.  They were broken into bite size options so that employees could dip in and out should they need to.  The videos used a mixture of live action filming, animated graphics and voice over.
